The Wanted - First Ever UK Arena Tour Announced #1 single GLAD YOU CAME out now
No 1 boyband, The Wanted have announced their first
ever UK Arena Tour for spring 2012. The five piece group that became one of the
biggest breakthrough acts of 2010 will be playing 11 arenas across the country
culminating with a show at London’s The O2 Arena on Saturday 3rd March.
“After the success
of our first tour (which we think the mums just may have enjoyed even more than
their kids) we're planning our first arena tour for February and March of next
year. We just want everyone to come along and enjoy themselves, so don
your "The Wanted" t-shirts and why not purchase a ticket-for-entry? It'll
be spiffing!”
The Wanted boys burst into our
lives and the charts last summer, with their incredible 2011 BRIT nominated
debut single, All Time Low, storming straight into the number one
spot. Followed by number two hit Heart
Vacancy, they have quickly built up a huge fanbase. Their self-titled debut
album raced into the top five, and they have had over an incredible 30 million
plays of their videos on YouTube. In March the boys were given the honour of
releasing the official Comic Relief single for Red Nose Day. The single Gold Forever became their third top
five single.
Their latest number 1 single Glad You Came is the first from their hotly
tipped second album. Written by Steve Mac, Wayne Hector and Ed Drewett and
produced by Steve Mac, this song brings a harder, club-influenced sound to the
table for Jay, Max, Nathan, Siva and
Tom. A dance floor filler, with a
heavy bassline combined with the boy’s rock vocals, this track will have you
raving from London to Ibiza this summer.
Earlier this year the boys performed their first headline tour which had rave
reviews from the press with The Times, Evening Standard and News Of The World
giving the shows 4 stars. Proof, if ever it was needed, that The Wanted are
definitely not taking any prisoners when it comes to being the hottest new pop
group in the UK.
Don’t miss the chance to see The Wanted Live next
year!!

PROFESSOR GREEN – real name Stephen Manderson - has reaffirmed his status as the nation’s most inventive rapper and distinctive wordsmith, whose rhymes resonate with the social commentary that characterises the growing tradition of great British lyricists, with his number 3 charting second album ‘AT YOUR INCONVENIENCE’
While the album is bookended with the unmistakeably tongue-in-cheek musings of title track ‘At Your Inconvenience’ and closing track ‘Into The Ground’, the bulk of the album pushes the boundaries and expectations of Professor Green’s sound. The soulfully dark and twisted, ‘Astronaut’ and the future anthem ‘Avalon’ which matches his vitriolic raps with a killer hook courtesy of Sierra Kusterbuck, vocalist with Florida alt-rock trio VersaEmerge. ‘Spinning Out’ is even more audacious, as Green teams up with one of his favourite musicians Fink to reimagine their own interpretation of the classic Pixies track ‘Where Is My Mind?’. Even when Professor Green plays closer to expectations, the results are several bold steps ahead of the pack. ‘Nightmares’ echoes influences from both sides of the Atlantic with the assistance of producer Khalil (Eminem, Dr Dre) and guests Kobe and Royce Da 5’9.
On the live side, after selling out his current November and
December dates, Professor Green will
also embark on his biggest tour to date next April culminating with a show at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on Saturday May 5th 2012. Due to popular demand a show
